Profane has only one pet subject: the amateur, whether he is an artist or a collector, a novice or a specialist, a fervent admirer or simply creates in his spare time. Profane is devoted to those enthusiasts who labour and love, often from behind the scenes, in order to highlight their creations, their broodings and their histories. The amateur carries with him rareness: his unimpaired impulse resists the trends, his exhilarating and cathartic relation to the object of his affection fights against all odds. And this very precious part, this original appetite is what Profane wants to bring to light.
